Abstracts Open: 20th January 2012
Abstract Submissions Close: 16th March 2012
A small number of abstracts (up to 6) will be selected for oral presentation for the Basic Science Program of ESA Seminar. This is an initiative for PhD students and early career researchers (up to 5 years post-doctoral). Abstracts will be selected under “Novel Techniques” and “Hot topics”.
Authors wishing to apply for oral presentation are required to fill out the attached application form outlining how their work aligns with either of these two topics. Selected speakers will be awarded a certificate to acknowledge their achievement in research.
Novel Techniques: We encourage authors to highlight (on your application form) whether the research presented in their abstract was obtained using a new technology/technique that may be of interest to other scientists. Please include a brief description of the technique/technology (max 150 words) and its scope for endocrine research in your application.
If accepted for oral presentation, the speaker should include a detailed methodology, why the technique was chosen for your research, advantages and disadvantages, accessibility and any other points of interest.
Hot topics in Reproductive Endocrinology: In addition to the novel techniques a small number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation. ‘Hot topic’ abstracts will be selected if your research is of high quality and cutting edge. Please provide (on your application form) a brief description (max 150 words) highlighting the novel aspects of your research.
Applications must be completed and sent to Jim Fawcett (jf@asnevents.net.au) before Friday 16th March 2012.
