Catherine Itman is an early career researcher who earned her PhD from Monash University in 2008. Catherine is currently supported by her 2010 NH&MRC New Investigator Award and is pursuing investigations into the molecular mechanisms by which the activin and androgen signalling pathways crosstalk to coordinate testis development, and the impact of endocrine disruptors on the prepubertal testis. Based at Monash University School of Biomedical Sciences, Catherine’s research is expanding to explore the effects of impaired testis development on adult health, including altered fertility and endocrine function.
